CalGreen Tier 1 — Marin Water Efficiency

CalGreen mandates water-efficient fixtures, drought-tolerant landscaping; Marin Water has additional restrictions.

CalGreen (CA Code of Regulations Title 24 Part 11) mandates water-efficient indoor fixtures and drought-tolerant landscaping for new construction in Marin County. Local Marin Water (MMWD) restrictions add: max 1.0 GPM lavatory faucets, drip-only irrigation outside the dripline, no new lawn over 25% of landscaped area. Stormwater retention per MCSTOPPP for sites larger than 2500 sf disturbance.
