Monthly visual inspections must verify pressure gauges are in the green zone, safety pins are in place, and equipment shows no damage. Fire extinguishers must be tagged and dated each time they are inspected. Damaged or discharged extinguishers must be replaced immediately. All employees must receive training on fire extinguisher selection and use, including the PASS technique (Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep).
