Section 1405 specifies that at least one entrance to each building and to each tenant space be accessible. Accessible entrances must have accessible approach including accessible parking or passenger loading, accessible route to the entrance, and proper surface conditions. Entrance doors must be at least 36 inches clear width with accessible handle height and operation. Vestibules with two doors must have intermediate space of at least 30 inches beyond the swing of the first door to permit wheelchair passage. Glass doors must have visible markings to prevent injury. Automatic doors assist persons with limited mobility or dexterity.
