Structural steel design requirements referencing AISC 360 for structural steel, AISI S100 for cold-formed steel, and SJI for steel joists.

Section 2201: General — structural steel per AISC 360, cold-formed steel per AISI S100, steel joists per SJI standards. Section 2203: Identification and protection — steel members marked per ASTM standards. Painting and fire protection per Chapters 6 and 7. Section 2204: Connections — per AISC 360. Bolted connections: ASTM F3125 high-strength bolts. Welded connections: per AWS D1.1. Section 2205: Structural steel — minimum yield strength A992 (50 ksi) for wide-flange. Section 2206: Cold-formed steel — light-gage framing per AISI S240/S100. Prescriptive design per AISI S230 for residential. Section 2207: Steel joists — manufactured per SJI standards. Open web steel joists for roof and floor framing. Section 2209: Cold-formed steel light-frame construction — per AISI S240 for wall studs, floor joists, roof framing.
