NEC Article 300: 300.4 protection against physical damage: cables/raceways within 1.25in of framing face need steel plates. Bored holes: min 1.25in from face (or steel plate). 300.5 underground installations (Table 300.5): direct burial UF cable 24in, rigid conduit 6in, PVC conduit 18in under driveways. 300.7 raceways exposed to different temperatures: seal to prevent condensation migration. 300.11 securing and supporting: independent support for raceways (not hung from other raceways or ceiling grid). 300.14 min 6in free conductor at boxes. 300.15 boxes/conduit bodies required at splices, junctions, switches, receptacles. 300.21 fire-rated assemblies: wiring penetrations firestopped per building code.
